Canucks face friendly with New York Rangers

The Vancouver Canucks will play their final friendly match Thursday against the New York Rangers. The Canucks will see their former manager Alain Vigneault behind the visitor’s bench. Meanwhile, the Rangers will see their own former manager John Tortorella behind the home bench.

Roberto Luongo will be between the pipes for Vancouver and is expected to play the full match as his final tune-up before the season opens next Thursday in San Jose.

The Canucks are also expecting David Booth to be in the line-up for the first time this preseason. Zack Kassian and Dale Weise are serving suspensions.

The Canucks are expected to dress the same line-up that will likely play in next Thursday’s regular-season opener against San Jose.
